Analia Segal is an Argentine artist whose work is grounded in the belief that displacement—linguistic, cultural, or material—is not a rupture, but a site of possibility. Known for blending conceptual, aesthetic, and functional elements of everyday objects, her interdisciplinary practice explores the ontological nature of “touch” and the shifting codes that shape the migrant and female experience. Segal earned a Master’s degree in Art from New York University and a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. A Fulbright and Guggenheim Fellow, she has also received support from the Joan Mitchell Foundation, Pollock-Krasner Foundation, and the New York Foundation for the Arts, among others. Her work has been exhibited widely and is included in public and private collections nationally and internationally. She has lived in New York City since 1999 and teaches at Pratt Institute.

My work exists in dialogue with both the places I’ve left behind and the ones I now inhabit. In a time shaped by digital and nomadic patterns of life, I continue to ask: can home exist without roots? These questions remain central to my evolving practice.”
