Summer Intensive
Each summer the Foundation’s Art Education Program provides portfolio development workshops for middle and high school students. Led by the Foundation's Artist-Teachers, students have the opportunity to explore the myriad cultural resources of New York City, develop their skills in drawing from observation, and create works to cultivate their portfolio.
The sessions occur in July. Admission is conducted via an online registration process begining April 1st. Students will be asked to respond to a series of questions, submit images of their work, and attend a mandatory orientation prior to the programs start. For more information regarding the Summer Intensive, please contact the Student Opportunities and Support Coordinator, José Ortiz, at arted@joanmitchellfoundation.org.
