“For my ongoing project Industry Unraveled, I photograph locations throughout the Rust Belt, which I send to Walmart to be processed into woven versions of the photo. I then deconstruct the photographic weavings, pulling threads and incorporating dying and collage techniques. The connection between the image and the process through which it is created underscores the huge shift that has transpired in this area, impacting everything from economics and the environment to social structure and community life.”
