Dani Reuben is a Bay Area-based consultant and arts administrator with a background in program management. She has worked in a variety of roles from small community-based organizations to large institutions, and loves connecting people across different priorities and sectors in order to cultivate community and organize support around a common goal or vision. As a consultant, Dani works with arts organizations to help envision, guide and implement effective and right-sized strategic planning. As Interim Artist Engagement Manager at the Foundation, Dani spearheads the design, planning, management, execution, and evaluation of the Foundation’s artist development offerings, with particular focus on the Joan Mitchell Fellowship.
Prior to working with the Foundation, Dani worked as a Program Manager for Open Doors NYC, an arts and justice initiative that invests in the creativity and leadership of Black and Brown wheelchair users, a Program Manager of Artist Residences at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council where she coordinated residency programs including SU-CASA: Arts Programs for Seniors, and a Program Assistant at the Whitney Museum. She has also supported and contributed to various independent curatorial and artistic projects. She holds a BA in Visual Studies with honors from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts.
