As the Artist Programs Manager, Grants, Lilia oversees the application and selection process of the Foundation's grant programs, which includes the Joan Mitchell Fellowship. She additionally provides ongoing support for participating artists, and is proud to share the Foundation's belief that trusting artists to know what is in their own best interest fosters trust and builds towards the arts remaining a vibrant and accessible force for change and inspiration.
Before joining the Foundation, Lilia worked as a Program Officer at a private family foundation dedicated to child welfare. In this role, she managed a diverse grant portfolio that included numerous art programs. She holds a BA in Art History and Anthropology from New York University. While not a practicing artist, she enjoys jewelry making and baking, and is always looking for new and exciting travel destinations and experiences. She can often be found on hikes or urban walks in Brooklyn, with her husband and their tripod dog, Wesley.
