As the Artist Programs Associate, Sarah provides administrative and logistical support for grants and artist engagement, and is the first point of contact for artists participating or interested in the Joan Mitchell Foundations's artist programs. Previously, Sarah has held positions at numerous arts organizations in both Chicago and New York City, including The Shed, Mana Contemporary, and Chicago Artists Coalition. Sarah is deeply committed to supporting emerging and established artists and actively seeks to be an accessible resource within her communities. Her passion for the arts drives her to create meaningful opportunities and foster a vibrant arts ecosystem.
Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History and Museum Professions and an associate’s degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology. In 2019, she was selected as part of the inaugural cohort of the Arts & Culture Leaders of Color fellowship with Americans for the Arts, a one-year professional development experience for emerging and mid-career arts leaders of color across arts disciplines (sponsored by Joyce Foundation and American Express Foundation).
